Orthopedics is a branch of medical science that is targeted on the interference, correction, diagnosing and treatment of patients with skeletal deformities of joints, bones, tendons, ligaments, nerves and skin. The musculoskeletal system is the complex system of joints, bones, ligaments, muscles nerves, and tendons allow you to move and be active. These conditions are treated by Orthopedists that may be present from birth or maybe a result of injury or age-related. Many enhancements in orthopedic surgery have resulted from live experiences during the times of battle.

Osteo & Rheumatoid are different type of arthritis with similar properties and different symptoms. As they require different treatment, accurate diagnosis is important. Osteoarthritis is a normal form of arthritis that commonly occurs with age. Rheumatoid arthritis has affects more than one-tenth while compared with as many effects with osteoarthritis. The major difference between the two types is the cause behind the joint symptoms. Osteoarthritis is caused by tear and mechanical wear on joints. Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease in which the body joints are attacked by body‘s own immune system. It is an inflammatory condition in which your immune system attacks the tissues in your joints it causes stiffness and pain that tend to become worse over several weeks and few months.

Osteoporosis is the bone disease that occurs when the body makes too little or loses too much of bone or both. As such the bones become weak and may break when a person fall or in some serious cases from minor bumps. Osteoporosis is a silent disease because one can’t feel the weakening of bones. Breakage of bone is the first symptom of osteoporosis. It can be effect the both male and female, but mostly effects women after menopause because of sudden decrease in Estrogen levels, that normally protects against osteoporosis and it leads to weakening of bones. It affects the men and women of all races. Seeking healthy medications, healthy diet and mostly exercise can help the prevention of bone loss. The major factors such as age, lifestyle and medical conditions generally increase the level of osteoporosis.

Rheumatology is a division of bio medicine that deals with the joints, soft tissues, and immunological diseases. A Rheumatologist is trained in the diagnosis, treatment and therapy of the Rheumatic diseases. Rheumatologists generally work in outer clinics. It is not always possible for a Rheumatologist to be affiliated with a hospital and work with patients hospitalized with a Rheumatic disease so reference from a primary care doctor is required for an evaluation with a Rheumatologist.

Arthroplasty is defined as replacing the damaged joint with an artificial one surgically. The replaced joint appears to be as natural and most commonly replaced joints are Knee and Hip. For these the entire joint replacement has to be done and partial replacement is not suitable for a many. Based on the age, procedures and lifestyle the healing time differs. Common symptoms like joint pain and swelling occur at the initial stage and can become worse leading to conditions like arthritis and fracture.

Pediatric Orthopedics is a branch of medicine that implies to treating children’s joints, muscles, and bones. A pediatric orthopedist is trained in the treatment of children ranging from infants to teenagers. Pediatric orthopedists can perform surgery when required but they also provide other kinds of treatments, like casts or limb braces to provide support. As the children’s bodies are still in growing stage they have a very different joint, muscle, and bone makeover than the adults. Usually, children are assigned to a pediatric orthopedist by their physician if issues arise. Children’s bodies experience a lot of change throughout their childhood and parents usually mistake growing pains for physical abnormalities. So, it is essential to consult a child’s physician before seeking out a pediatric orthopedist. They use surgical and other medical therapies to treat child’s abnormalities.

Physiotherapy is medication to regain, maintain, and make the most of a patient’s mobility, function, and well-being. Physiotherapy helps through physical recovery, injury prevention, health and fitness. Physiotherapists prefer in your own recovery. Physiotherapists study the science of movement. They learn how to point an injury’s main causes. Physiotherapists will facilitate patients pass though injuries and disabilities starting from back, neck, knees pain to ligament problems. Furthermore, physiotherapists can heal both persistent and small problems by medicating patients at home and centres. Physiotherapists focus on both safeguarding and recovery.

A Fracture is usually the breakage of a bone. An open or compound fracture is a kind in which the broken bone pierces the skin. Fractures commonly happen because of accidents, unexpected falls, or injuries. Other causes are low bone density and osteoporosis, which cause erosion of the bones. Excessive usage can cause stress fractures, which are very small cracks in the bone. A bone fracture is a medical condition where the bone loses its continuity. Pathological fractures are the bone fractures that are caused by disease. There are a number of different types of fractures including fibular, comminuted, and air crack fractures. Bone healing is a process that occurs naturally and treatment revolves around giving the bone minimum conditions to heal it.

Exercise and Sports Sciences is a multidisciplinary field that explores the typical kind of human movement and the reaction of the body and its response to acute and chronic physical exertion such as fitness regimens, recreational activities and noble sports. Specializing in the treatment of sportspersons and other sports-active individuals, sports & exercise medicine doctors have much knowledge in musculoskeletal treatment. Sports and Exercise Medicine doctors treat injuries such as chronic, ligament, tendon and bone related issues, but also may treat chronic illnesses that can affect physical performance, such as asthma and diabetes. SEM doctors also advise on how to manage and cure injuries.

Orthopedic Trauma may be a severe injury within the part of musculoskeletal system; it mostly might be the result of unexpected accidents that require immediate medical care. And not all orthopedic traumas is life-comminating, it is life altering. Physicians of orthopedic trauma are unique and they were specializing in complex injuries to bones, soft joints such as muscles, tendons, and ligaments and joints throughout the entire body. Mostly Orthopedicians specialize in just one part of the body. For, others they may provide more care but they won’t treat more minute fractures, which are tougher to fix. Orthopedic trauma physicians receive the training in the field of orthopedic surgery with  special focus on the treatment of joint realignment to enhance the safety recovery and return of functionality to the injured body parts so, they often treat patients with compound fractures ,multiple broken bones and fractures near a joint (like a hip or knee).

The most common traumatic wounds include:

  • Sudden Falls

  • Severe cough

  • Sport related accidents

  • Blows to specific areas in the body

  • Twisting the ankle joint.

Shoulder and Elbow disarrangements are often related with baseball players and other athletes. But they can affect people from all class of life. We constantly use these joints to lift, movement, push and pull. So it's nothing new that many of us come down with pain, steadiness or other problems in our shoulder or elbows. Your shoulder joint is known as a ball-and-socket joint. That’s because the upper part of your upper arm has a rounded shape, like a ball. It gets fitted into a cup shaped hollow (socket) in your shoulder bone. Ball-and-socket joints are highly ductile. In fact, your shoulder has a larger, more multiple range of movement than any other joint in your body. The elbow is a dependent joint that connects your forearm to your upper arm. It gives you access for the movement that means bending and straightening your arm your shoulders and elbows are held together by various tissues. Ligaments connect the bones. Tendons connect bones with muscles. A major layer of slippery tissue called cartilage covers the ends of your bones. This helps them to glide one against another throughout the movement. If something affects a part of your joint – whether it might be a bone or the tissue around it – you may have pain, weakness, numbness and many symptoms that make it hard for movement of your arm or shoulder.
